Can you support your local community become a happier, healthier place to live for everyone? Do you want to gain new skills and meet new people? Southmead Public Health is looking for some support to run a Stress Busting Event at Southmead Community Association as part of Bristol's Healthy City Week. Volunteers will support and inspire people to have less stressful lives and gain teamwork and event experience.

What will I do?  You will welcome guests, support the stalls and cafe on site and help the workshops ste up and run. You will be working as part of a team to ensure a stress free and fun experience for all.

Why should I do it? You will be able to directly support individuals in your community take actions around their own health and wellbeing, gaining experience in team work and event management. All volunteers will get their travel expenses paid and a free meal voucher and goodie bag.

Who should I be? You should be a welcoming and friendly person who is interested in improving their community. You should have good verbal communication skills or be supported to partipcate. Ability to use your own initiative and work as part of a team is desirable.

Where will I be? The event is at the Southmead Community Centre, Greystoke Avenue BS10 6BQ.

When do you need me? The event is on Saturday 22nd October with volunteers needed between 9.30am and 4pm. Ideally volunteers would be able to be their all day but half days are possible.
