All aboard for this gem of a holiday club which starts tomorrow at St Stephen's Church, Southmead.  Everyone welcome, but no bottles of rum or or stolen booty allowed! We sail the high seas at two pm every day.

Did you know that Henleaze Swimming Club is nearly 100 years old? The club was established in 1919. People were swimming and ice-skating at the Lake even before this - possibly as early as 1906. In preparation for its centenary in 2019, the club is starting to collect people’s memories of Henleaze.

Plans for the Southmead Community Festival, on Saturday 9th July, are now well underway.  LADY NADE has already been confirmed as the headline act.  The volunteer committee have been meeting to discuss ideas and work out details but there's still time to join the meetings.

New ward boundaries came into effect on April 1st.  Southmead now loses the Charlton Mead area, which becomes part of Henbury & Brentry Ward; but it will gain the Lakewood Road area which was formerly in Westbury-on-Trym.  A big welcome to our new residents.  Southmead will still work closely...
